Role Description
Located in our Veterinary Laboratory based just outside Newbury town centre, this a full-time position working 35 hours per week and will require occasional Saturday and bank holiday cover
We are a multidisciplinary laboratory analysing a variety of animal medical samples, utilising the latest technologies and techniques to ensure accurate results.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of laboratory tests, including clinical chemistry, haematology, serology, microscopy, cytology, parasitology, microbiology and PCR. You will also gain experience of general laboratory procedures including sample booking and result reporting using our laboratory information management system (LIMS) and other procedures such as instrument maintenance, calibration and controls, stock control and waste management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Bioveterinary Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently if necessary
A passion for animal welfare and healthcare
